Boox Note Air 6C E-Ink Tablet Flips Pages Nearly 40 Percent Faster
17 Sept 2026
LOS ANGELES — Onyx Boox has officially announced a major refresh to its popular E-Ink tablet lineup with the launch of the Boox Note Air 6C. Focused on addressing one of E-Ink technology's primary drawbacks—speed—the new 10.3-inch color e-reader introduces significant performance upgrades aimed at making page turns, scrolling, and app navigation noticeably smoother.
Upgraded Processor and Faster Page Refresh
The core upgrade in the Note Air 6C is a new processor capable of clocking speeds up to 2.9GHz. According to Boox, this represents a 45 percent speed boost compared to the previous-generation Note Air 5C, translating directly into a 40 percent improvement in PDF page-turning speed.
The company has also overhauled its proprietary display refresh modes. The updated software is engineered to reduce latency during web browsing, document scrolling, and interacting with dynamic app content on an E-Ink screen.
Unlike its predecessor, which ran Android 15, the Note Air 6C ships with Android 16 and provides full out-of-the-box access to the Google Play Store.
